Estate Planning is the creation of documents that cause ownership transfer of ownership of whatever property you own upon your death to whomever you direct.

Your Estate Plan involves the preparation of a Last Will and Testament, a Financial Power of Attorney, and an Advance Directive for Healthcare.

The Financial Power of Attorney and the Advance Directive for Healthcare are based on forms prepared by the Georgia State Legislature (Statutory Forms). The latest Financial Power of Attorney is relatively new having been placed into law in 2017.

Note that "Living Wills" are not normally prepared any more as the contents of a typical living will are now incorporated into the Advance Directive for Healthcare which is much more comprehensive.
